About Our Founders

Isaac & Megan Omanikor

Isaac and Megan Omanikor are the founders of Equip Ministries Uganda and currently serve as the Site Manager and Development Manager in Uganda.

Isaac was born in Tororo, Uganda came to know Christ in his 20's. He served as the accountant and then administrative manager in a former ministry where he and Megan met. Isaac loves to play soccer, study the Word, chat with friends, and spend time investing in his family.

Megan was born and raised in Florida, United States. She came to know Christ at a young age and her walk with the Lord led her to serve in Uganda. There she met Isaac and they were married in March 2020. Megan likes yard work, strategy games, studying the Bible, and enjoying life with Isaac and their son.

Together, Isaac and Megan felt God burdening them for their community in Buikwe. In November of 2020, they moved into a tent in their village and began talking with community members about the community's greatest needs and potential. From there, God continued to shape the vision and mission of EMU and ways to reach the community for Christ.  They pray that the Buikwe region will become a thriving community transformed through the Gospel.
